PENGARUH PEMBERIAN JUS APEL TERHADAP PENURUNAN KADAR GLUKOSA DARAH PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELLITUS TIPE 2 DI PUSKESMAS LENTENG SUMENEP

ABSTRACT
Diabetes mellitus type 2 is deficiency of insulin secretion that is decrease of insulin receptor or bad quality until the insulin hormone work is not effective. Apple juice contain of thiamin and fiber that can regulated blood glucose level goodly. Apple is the almost of vegetables in indonesia. The effect of apple juice to blood glucose level reduction to patient of Diabetes mellitus type 2 but not many people use it.

The research was method of that used is quasy experimental pre-post test control group design in which population of the research included all of patient Diabetes mellitus type 2 in Lenteng Public Health Sumenep. Sampel of the respondent was drawn using purposive sampling technique and fulfilled inclusion criteria. There were twelve patient who met criteria in the research Independent variable was apple juice and dependent variable was blood glucose level. This research was tested using Pairend T-test with singnificant level α ≤ 0,05 and Independent T-test with singnificant level α ≤ 0,05.

The result of research show that decreation of blood glucose level with mean 167 mg/dL result of statistic examination Independent T-test is p = 0,003 (α = 0,05).

Conclution of this research is apple juice can reduce of the blood glucose level to the patient of Diabetes mellitus type 2 in Lenteng Public Health Sumenep because thiamin have a role to support the receptor of insulin hormone and glucose transporter in cell of the body and fiber can reduce of the food transit time and glucose absorb in the body will be slowly.
